A clear understanding of the specs is imperative for making the right decision. Perhaps more importantly, customers should also know if a manufacturer makes their products themselves or gets it from an OEM. Products from a vendor who designs and manufactures on their own are more likely to be unique and reliable.

1. Lighting and temperature for outdoor use
If you plan to install your face recognition access control outdoors, direct sunlight or other forms of light from behind a person are factors to consider. If you need to make changes to your current lighting conditions, you might want to factor in the costs of that before making a decision. But light is not the only concern when you install outdoors. You should also consider the ambient temperature factor.
If you install the device outdoors, it could be exposed to high temperatures that may cause many devices to crash.
