GeoVision: Leading the Market in Computerized Video Surveillance
GeoVision, with significant investment in research and development, has managed to establish market leadership in the field of computerized video surveillance. By utilizing its unique products, especially software, it has created a bridge from analog systems to the digital world. Among reputable companies leading the video surveillance systems industry, GeoVision possesses the technology to simultaneously produce software, cameras, and related switches.
GeoVision offers its software products with all the options, which are only produced by specific high-cost software brands, for free. In this article, we aim to introduce some of GeoVision’s management and surveillance software.
Network Video Recorder (NVR)
GeoVision’s GV-NVR (Network Video Recorder) software records video and audio data over TCP/IP networks. This software provides the same functionality as GeoVision’s surveillance cards, supporting up to 32 network surveillance channels. With an additional license, it supports up to 32 channels from devices of other brands. Due to its various capabilities, from monitoring features to image analysis and integration with LPR systems, POS/ATM systems, and access control systems, this software is one of the most complete network surveillance software solutions on the market.
By combining GV-NVR with GeoVision’s network cameras, the image quality is enhanced using advanced scanning technology, and advanced video display features such as Picture-in-Picture and simultaneous image display are enabled. Additionally, the software’s compatibility with many network cameras from other brands using the ONVIF and PSIA standards makes it the best solution for network surveillance.
GeoVision Video Analytics Software
GeoVision software provides unique capabilities for users and system installers, adding flexibility to the system. The variety of GeoVision network cameras has enabled it to provide appropriate solutions for different applications. GeoVision’s video analytics software is capable of performing several tasks, including face detection, tampering detection, suspicious object detection, lost object detection, smart search, PTZ tracking, people counting, and crowd detection, all for free and professionally. Furthermore, the software can perform face analysis tasks such as face mask alert, face covering, and face counting. Users can also take advantage of features like panoramic image creation from different perspectives, image dehazing, video stabilization, and web-based reporting.
Central Monitoring Station
GeoVision’s Central Monitoring Station software provides a comprehensive solution for central surveillance of high-security areas in commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. This central security system can manage the heavy surveillance tasks of DVR devices, such as in a club. Numerous surveillance systems can be connected to hundreds of thousands of cameras and synchronized with IR sensors, motion sensors, fire detectors, alarms, and POS systems. The powerful network structure of the central monitoring station effectively reduces false alarms and sends security personnel to the relevant areas to address them.
Control Center
GeoVision’s Control Center software is an integrated security management system that provides essential tools for central monitoring station operations. This software provides a comprehensive solution for central station users to control and manage GeoVision systems and I/O devices, saving time. With this software, multiple GeoVision systems and I/O devices can be controlled and managed on a single DVR server, enhancing their surveillance performance and ensuring the integrity of these operations.
Remote setup and full control of DVR device settings
Remote access to DVR display screens
Matrix display, monitoring, recording, and playback of files received from up to 1000 host systems
Playback of video recordings from local GeoVision systems
Central I/O panel: Grouping, managing, and configuring I/O devices remotely
Video wall (optional)
GV-Center V2 Pro
GV-Center V2 Pro is a specialized version of the Central Monitoring Station (CMS) software that can be installed on CMS servers. This software integrates several GeoVision systems into a single user interface, allowing the user to manage multiple systems from a single control point. It is capable of managing up to 500 GeoVision systems, receiving video footage from 800 channels, and transferring them to the display.
In case of an alert, GV-Center V2 Pro can receive live images or event messages along with video clips as evidence of activities, immediately attracting the user’s attention.
Recording Server
GV-Recording Server is a video recording software designed for large-scale video surveillance, capable of receiving and recording video from up to 128 network cameras. This software allows uniform video recording based on motion detection, I/O commands, or predefined schedules through a user-friendly web interface.
Additionally, GV-Recording Server can distribute up to 300 channels to its clients, including NVR/DVR systems, GV-GIS (GeoVision Geographic Information System), GV-Mobile Server (GeoVision mobile server), GV-Control Center (GeoVision central monitoring system), and Multi View (GeoVision video transmission software). When CPU load increases and network bandwidth of IP cameras significantly decreases, the software still ensures the desired frame rate.
Dispatch Server
The GV-Dispatch Server works with GV-Center V2 servers and GeoVision systems. This server connects 25,000 GeoVision systems to 50 GV-Center V2 servers, distributing the workload between them in online or offline modes. The server utilizes load-balancing techniques to evenly distribute event requests across the GV-Center V2 server network. If one server reaches capacity, the GV-Dispatch Server sends the request to another server with higher capacity. If a server fails, another server will take over the processing.
Backup Center
GV-Backup Center offers a reliable and cost-effective backup solution for GeoVision systems and network devices. This program can automatically create a copy of recorded images and daily reports from off-site locations. In case of an incident at the GeoVision system installation site, the stored information is saved in a different location.
Web Report
GV-Web Report is a software solution for integrating information related to people and face counting in GeoVision systems and GV-Smart Box devices. It is designed for large-scale video surveillance and can receive data from up to 1000 units of GeoVision’s 3D counting devices, GV-Smart Box, and GeoVision systems.
Through its web interface, users can access live reports, graphs, and statistical data on an hourly, daily, monthly, and yearly basis regarding people, face counting, and object measurements. Users can also view live or recorded images from different locations.
Failover Server
GV-Failover Server is a backup video server capable of recording images from 128 network streams connected to GeoVision systems in specific conditions:
When the host GeoVision system starts working without monitoring
When file recovery fails
When there is an error in the hard drive
When there is an error in the Failover program plugin
Redundant Server
GV-Redundant Server is a video storage server designed for large-scale video surveillance. It can record images from 128 network channels connected to the corresponding GeoVision systems. As the name suggests, this server creates a redundant version of network channels from the related GeoVision systems.
Mobile and Tablet Software
GeoVision offers smartphone and tablet apps for controlling and monitoring security systems from home or any part of a building. Monitoring live images or replays using mobile devices has become very easy.
GeoVision’s GV-Mobile supports Android and iOS platforms. Users can use the GV-Eye app for IP cameras and GV-AView for NVR/DVR systems operating on PC for Android devices. For iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod), users can use the GV-Eye/Eye HD apps for GeoVision IP cameras and GV-iView/iView HD apps for NVR/DVR systems.
GeoVision products, while of very high quality and performance, are offered at competitive prices. By purchasing GeoVision network cameras, users and installers get free access to the NVR video recording software license with all its features. GeoVision software is also updated for free to keep users equipped with the latest technologies.
