JTI International is a tobacco company operating in Iran. The company was formed from the merger of two major tobacco companies. The original Japan Tobacco Company established its main brand, Mildstone, in 1989. The company merged with the state-owned Salt Corporation in 1949 and then in 1999 acquired RJRI, a subsidiary of Reynolds RJ, to form the current JTI International.
The company is currently the third largest international cigarette company in the world, producing products such as Camel, Mildson, Salem and Winston and selling them in more than 120 countries.
